Origins and Routes is the creative practice of Alexandra "Ali" Ambrosio. Her work explores themes of heritage, identity, pattern, and connection. Ali collaborates with clients on heirloom repurposing projects and custom jewelry design, and produces her own limited-edition collections each year.

Ali holds a BFA in Jewelry/Metal Arts from the California College of the Arts, and an MBA in Marketing and a BA in Portuguese from the University of New Mexico. Her origins are in New Mexico and the Italy-Slovenia border region, and her routes include Brazil, Texas, Mozambique, and most recently the San Francisco Bay Area.

In addition to her studio practice, Ali is a translator and writer. She also organizes cultural and wellness events at her family's homestead in Italy.
